Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB), Pune

15th June 2008, I reached pune, this time with no LG around. I entered a new world where life was fast moving, faster than that of Nagpur. With no place to reside, as I was wait-listed for hostel facility by college. I was supposed to find my accommodation on my own.

First few days I stayed with my friend Krishna (Krish). He taught me some fundas on how to survive in pune.

18th June: the first day in the college…induction program was held…but the entry to the auditorium holding hand of a girl and sitting next to her for next few hours was something that I could not digest..(the girl whose hand I was supposed to hold was named Nupur)..

Next day(19th June) was holiday so that all the juniors(We) can get adjusted to the locality and area…ok that’s the first holiday…(don’t be so happy next holiday was on 15th august)..

For next 45 days we had induction programs like workshops, Mahabharata & Bam Sir’s Presentation….I liked Bam Sir’s presentation the most ,followed by Mahadewan Sir’s 3 day workshop…

I hope Hanuman remembers that day when he took out 12 wafers from dustbin and distributed it to friends. Actually we were not supposed to carry any eatables in auditorium but by mistake (not by mistake. it was deliberate) during Mahabharata session, I carried 12 wafers with me so that we can enjoy…but that day in depth checking was to be carried out. in order to protect myself I dumped all the wafers in the dustbin…rest you know what happen….hehehehe..

Welcome party or the fresher party was mind blowing with Dual A bagging the 1st prize in Fashion show. I must say Jassi is great in this job…

Jaya’s mess committee stint was superb…thanks Jaya for superb food with some cockroaches (don’t mind just joking)..Food was superb…

Hanuman was looking great in Aladdin’s role but Jennie was yuk..chiiii…Didn’t you find someone else…

HR meet was well organized but need to make it such that the orator should not exceed the time limit, else students will sleep..

The best part of being in BIIB came while celebrating Diwali, Holi, New year Party, Rakhi etc…I hope majority of them didn’t miss their home at that moment…

Anyways I found few more gems in BIIB :-

Hanuman (Hanu): U from Nagpur, me too…Nagpur Nagpur bhai bhai…

Sulabh (Subu): I hate him the most because with his entry, someone else entered my life without permission..

Vishal ( Visu or Behrath) : Lost in his world of Economics times and Brand Equity..

Nozer (Nozu or Nonu) : Good friend but very careless in nature. Very lazy…

Jaya (Mess Committee) : Very good friend of mine. thanks for taking care of need of notes for me during exams..

Last but not the least

Archana (Archu/Archie/Archuhi) : Cute, Sweet but irritating and Rotalu..Irritating a lot man…. When she talks, she only talks….rest of them go to hell....

( As expected, after reading this statement Archuhi called me up and asked why have I written such thing about her?...

I answered her call..from the other end I heard "Sale, Kutte , Kamine, maine kya kiya jo tune itna bura mere bareme likha...ja baat mat karna"....so on...

She said i don't wanna talk to you but didn't hang up the phone..I tried to explain her that I was waiting for her reaction and would add up matter related to her once phone conversation is over..but she argued that " she don't want any formalities..."
Miss Archuhi its not a formality...its what I have to say:-

Now how should I reason her that why have I written this??...and in this way??....

Every act of her brings smile on our(Group) face..cute smile, innocent eyes that never lie, one will do anything to see that smile remain forever...Wrinkles on her forehead n face during tension whether its exam time or cps time, make us feel that we(Group) have grown old...each an everyone in the group care for her..She is the heart and soul of the group.. She is irritating but cute, idiot but innocent..she is my friend..best friend and will remain so forever..

She loves soft toys..the moment she find a soft toy you can never differentiate between her and 4 yrs old child...they both are same, cute, innocent and childish in nature...

slap me(like the one you did for cadbury) or scold me(without any reason,as you did for this post) you were, you are and you will remain my best of best friend..this is what i wanted to say and write but wanted to irritate you a bit first...

After going through the statement made by me..you all may feel that I wrote this because Archuhi complained...sorry friends thats not the reason..this is what I actually I wanted to write about her but not so easily...One need to do some hard work and bear some bad word to get praise..)

Its been one year and I have made 6 new friends. At present we are far away from each other as we all are under going summer training at different geographical location in India.

I miss Subu’s B’day celebration near Wipro’s premises (Hinjewadi), I miss Hanu’s B’day celebration on main road at mid night (Dange chowk)..

I miss that visit to Tirupati Balaji temple (one on Pune Bangalore Highway) on bike after 1st semester…

The group studies at Nozu's flat.. I used to enjoy them all..esp Business law preparation....

I miss them all, I miss every second of my stay at BIIB.

Nagpur was the city that used to talk to me, it accepted me from the 1st day I arrived here but pune is different. Pune don’t accept new arrivals…I don’t miss pune but I miss BIIB and friends. I am here at Nagpur undergoing my Summer Internship and hope to return back to BIIB as soon as the project gets over…

I wish we will have good year in terms of improvement in market and hoping to see good placements. We will depart but in between that departure there are 11 more months to enjoy….so lets strengthen our friendship with a hope that the final departure don’t break and weaken this relation….Enjoy Life with Friends…

Life & Friendship go hand in hand…

I am sorry that I was not able to come up with the poem title yaadein as promised, but I am thankful to Jaya for advising me to go for writing a poem on our one year stay in BIIB. Sorry again Jaya could not do that but I wrote some of the experiences so that it will be easy to express. Thanks Jaya for your suggestion and advice…
